"What to Do?!" Active Shooter/Workplace Violence

  • Learn how to make your business environment a safer and more alert workplace.
  • An active shooter/hostile intruder is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area by any means including but not limited to firearms (most frequently used), bladed weapons, vehicles, or any tool that in the circumstance in which it is used constitutes deadly physical force.
  • In most cases, there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims.
  • Most active shooter situations are unpredictable, evolve quickly, and are over within minutes.

Kenny Adams is employed by the Huntsville Police Department, City of Huntsville as Community Relations Office for the North Precinct. Since joining the department, he has served in several different units such as Bike patrol, Mobile Field Force, SWAT, and School Resource.

"CNC tips and tricks, how to best match a machine with your business & how to maximize potential."

This seminar will provide a hands on/up-close experience with CNC equipment. Whether you are buying a machine for the first time and need advice on how to best match equipment with your business or simply want to find out how to maximize the potential of your existing machine, this seminar will prove invaluable to your organization. Sign industry CNC gurus will demonstrate a variety of applications, materials, tooling, and machine techniques.

Moe Donaldson is the setups/forming supervisor at faces. He has over 20 years of industrial carpentry and machine tooling experience. Moe played the pivotal role in ushering the CNC era in at faces. He continues to explore new methods of 3D tooling and mold design in an attempt to streamline production and push the envelope of CNC routing.

Larry Farris is employed by Hendrick Manufacturing Corp and has over 20 years of CNC experience. His primary duties include developing new CNC routers lines, application engineering, as well as installation and training.  He has extensive experience in assisting to find and ultimately put into operation the right CNC router for various applications such as felt, aluminum, plastics, wood, etc.  He is also well versed in CNC software programming and machine code. to have a quick return on their investment.

 

Tour of Trav-Ad Signs:

Trav-Ad Signs is celebrating their 40th year of business.  They have grown from a one-man show working out of a garage to a 25,000-sq. ft. facility, situated on 12 acres and employees 35 people.  Trav-Ad is a custom sign shop that fabricates, installs and services their own local and national accounts.  During this tour, you will see Trav-Ad’s daily operations including the Graphics Dept, Fabrication Stations, Paint Booth and more.

Roy, Sandi and Karen will the discuss the struggles and rewards of transitioning the day to day operations and ownership of a family business.
